Quadlock CAN bus Steering wheel control harness for Mercedes Benz vehicles with Audio 20 head units.
This interface provides steering wheel control commands to the new head unit and gives CAN signal outputs:
Pink Wire: Speed pulse
Yellow/Black Wire: Telephone mute
Purple Wire: Reverse gear
Green Wire: Hand brake
Light Blue Wire: Automatic antenna
When installing, make sure the patch lead is connected to the interface, BEFORE, the interface is connected to the vehicle harness.
Supported Functions: Features vary from model to model of Mercedes Benz.
Compatibility:
Compatible with Audio 20 units.
Not compatible with factory amplified units. The forward button and track back button will only function when Audio is selected on the MFD (Multifunction display).
SLK Note: Use this interface for later models of R171 with the steering control buttons in a circular cluster. This update of vehicle occurred 2008 models.
Supplied with universal self pin head unit patch lead (SWLUNI-C). Simply use the links leads to adjust the patch lead to suit the brand of aftermarket head unit you are installing.
Also available are a range of brand specific head unit patch leads for fast and simple plug and play installations.
NOTE: Use with Type C patch leads with model numbers ending in (C).
